Our Story

Founding Story

It started with a trip to Sydney, when my baby was just three and a half months old.

The Australian air was crisp, the autumn breeze was cool but the sun was sharp and unrelenting. I held my baby even closer, adjusting the carrier to shield his tiny face, moving from shade to shade. He was so little, too little for sunscreen - it felt wrong.

I searched for something else. Protection that was soft, safe, and made for everyday life. A fabric gentle enough for his sensitive skin, but strong enough to shield him from the sun.

But there was nothing. Not for our tiny humans. Not for their everyday wear.

Back home in Singapore, it stayed with me. We live between two extremes: the blazing tropical sun outside and freezing air-conditioning indoors. As adults, we arm ourselves with SPF lotions and umbrellas. But what about our babies? We wrap them in ordinary cotton and hope it is enough.

In that quiet moment of worry sparked the idea for Elara Kids.

Elara Kids began with a simple wish: better clothing, made with more care - sunscreen alternative baby clothing.

We chose bamboo as the heart of our fabric. Naturally hypoallergenic, luxuriously soft, and kind to sensitive skin. It is breathable, keeps little bodies cool, and, with our certified UPF50+ protection, it blocks 98% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. No compromises — just comfort woven with science.

So whether they are napping under aircon, stretching on a playmat, or discovering the outdoors, Elara Kids keeps them protected, every moment of the day.

Because love isn’t always loud.
Sometimes, it’s a quiet layer of fabric. A softened seam. A shield only we know is there.

Even when they don’t feel it, we do.
